PremierevsOnebed Essential

Dusk & Dawn mattresses are proudly owned, designed, and made in Melbourne Australia. The company prides itself on hand-making every mattress locally, and it is officially certified as Australian Made and Owned. By choosing to manufacture their products domestically, Dusk & Dawn supports Australian families and contributes to the local economy.

Dusk&Dawn mattresses are indeed environmentally friendly. They are made using Australian-made foams and fabrics, which reduces the carbon footprint associated with overseas shipping. Furthermore, Dusk&Dawn proudly uses materials certified by Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) and Oeko-Tex. These certifications ensure that the materials used are produced in an environmentally responsible manner.

Dusk&Dawn mattresses do not come in a box. The company prides itself on using high-quality materials that cannot be compressed, rolled, or squashed into a box without compromising their quality. This decision reflects Dusk&Dawn's commitment to delivering a premium product, even if it means deviating from the increasingly popular bed-in-a-box model.

The Onebed Essential mattress is typically described as firm. Although it is the entry-level model in the Onebed range, it doesn't compromise on firmness and support. Remember that firmness can be subjective and different people might perceive it differently based on their weight, sleeping position, and personal preference.

Onebed, an Australian mattress company, was founded in 2016 with a focus on developing high-quality, box-packed mattresses for easy delivery. The co-founder and CEO of Onebed is Dylan Tollemache, who has led the company as they expanded their product range to include various mattress models and other bedding products.

Yes, you can place the Onebed mattress directly on the floor, although it's not typically recommended for long-term use due to potential airflow restriction. This could potentially lead to mildew development, especially if the mattress is placed on an organic or moist surface, or in a humid area. To mitigate this risk, it's advisable to use a slatted base or a bed frame, which facilitates better air circulation around the mattress. However, if you prefer to use the mattress on the floor, ensure that you prop it up regularly to let any moisture dry out, keeping your Onebed clean and free from mildew.
