Firmness info	On a scale of 1 - 10 (with 10 being the firmest) our standard Avocado Vegan Mattress rates as a 7, which is gentle, yet firm. It's ideally suited for back and stomach sleepers, as well as lighter individuals and growing children - anyone in need of natural cushioning and medium-firm support. With the pillow-top option, our mattress rates as a 6. If you ever want to adjust the feel, you can add a plush or firm vegan mattress topper at any time.	The Cocoon Chill is a medium firmness, about a 6 on the firmness scale. We've found that most sleepers prefer a mattress that's fully supportive but not too firm, so we created a mattress with our Perfect Fit memory foam that adapts to your unique body size, shape and sleep position.

Construction & materials

Layers	Organic Cotton Ticking, JOMA® New Zealand Wool, Natural Hydrated Silica Fire Barrier, Leggett & Platt Quantum Edge® Elite Combi-Zone®, Soft Natural Dunlop Latex	Perfect Fit Memory Foam, Personalized Comfort Layer, Support Foam.
Cover	For a luxurious and premium finish, we use a breathable organic cotton / poly-blend 4-way stretch-knit (rather than a traditional weave) in a soft, natural color, and GOTS-certified by our supplier. Sourced from the United States, this durable textile is button-tufted by hand with wool yarn rosettes, which secure the cotton ticking and internal mattress layers firmly in place without the use of chemical adhesives. We also use hand-stitched tape edges (double stitched) and heavy-duty upholstered handles to complete the package.	Our premium stretch-knit cover is infused with a proprietary "Phase Change Material" that absorbs and dissipates heat for a refreshing, cool to the touch surface.

Ergonomic handles	Yes	No
Comfort	Rather than using wool, our Vegan Mattress uses 400 grams per square foot of 100% GOTS organic certified certified cotton batting. Avocado mattresses feature 100% GOLS organic certified latex rubber foam, made from sustainably harvested sources. It's an eco-conscious, high-performance material, offering resilience, durability, and temperature control that far exceeds synthetic, blended or petroleum-based polyurethane foams	A top layer of memory foam helps reduce the amount of movement from your sleep partner. The Soft model reduces a bit more motion transfer than the Firm model. Phase Change Material (PCM) absorbs your body heat leaving you with a cool to the touch mattress experience.
Support	The Avocado Vegan Mattress is GREENGUARD Gold Certified - and made with natural and organic materials, including 100% GOLS organic certified latex from tree-tapped and sustainable sources and GOTS organic certified cotton. Our non-toxic vegan bed combines the finest natural cushioning with an internal, zoned, pressure-point support system for proper back support and extended durability. No wool is used anywhere in the mattress. The Avocado Vegan Mattress features an 8-inch support unit comprised of 756 - 1,414 individually-tuned support coils to ensure proper spinal alignment and balance. These fabric-encased innersprings (made from recycled steel) are arranged in 5 distinct zones with a reinforced perimeter to float independently and reduce motion transfer. This premium, highly durable system allows for optimal and individualized ergonomic and joint support, while at the same time, better contouring to your body shape and evenly distributing weight. Better still, the reinforced perimeter provides critical edge support to eliminate the "roll-off" feeling near the edge.	Our high-quality memory foam adapts to your body size, shape and sleep position to ensure a great sleep no matter which feel is right for you. Support Foam base layer engineered to be highly durable and resilient. We've tested it, and we know it bounces back every time.
