Construction & materials

Layers	Organic Cotton Ticking, JOMA® New Zealand Wool, Natural Hydrated Silica Fire Barrier, Leggett & Platt Quantum Edge® Elite Combi-Zone®, Soft Natural Dunlop Latex	3" Memory Foam with Surface-Infused Phase Change Material (PCM) Gel (Density: 3.5 lbs, ILD: 10), 2" Memory Foam (Density: 2.5 lbs, ILD: 18), 7" PU Support Foam (Density 1.8 lbs, ILD: 36).
Cover	For a luxurious and premium finish, we use a breathable organic cotton / poly-blend 4-way stretch-knit (rather than a traditional weave) in a soft, natural color, and GOTS-certified by our supplier. Sourced from the United States, this durable textile is button-tufted by hand with wool yarn rosettes, which secure the cotton ticking and internal mattress layers firmly in place without the use of chemical adhesives. We also use hand-stitched tape edges (double stitched) and heavy-duty upholstered handles to complete the package.	A circular knit cover made with 64% Polyester, 20% Nylon, 13% Polyethylene and 3% Spandex. Polyethylene, which is known to help draw heat away from the body, thus providing a slight "cooling sensation" to the touch. Constructed using alternating nylon and polyethylene yarns. These materials are known to provide give, thus promoting and enhancing the benefits of the memory foam layers beneath it.

Comfort	Rather than using wool, our Vegan Mattress uses 400 grams per square foot of 100% GOTS organic certified certified cotton batting. Avocado mattresses feature 100% GOLS organic certified latex rubber foam, made from sustainably harvested sources. It's an eco-conscious, high-performance material, offering resilience, durability, and temperature control that far exceeds synthetic, blended or petroleum-based polyurethane foams	With a cooling cover and a gel-coated memory foam top layer the Nectar Lush helps regulate temperature to stay cool and in a deep sleep. The top memory foam layer helps provide temperature regulation while you sleep. The PCM gel that has been infused into the surface of this component is known to: help draw excess heat away from the body and retain it in the component itself to help cool the sleeping environment to the optimal temperature Release any retained heat from the component back to the body to help heat the sleeping environment to the optimal temperature.
Support	The Avocado Vegan Mattress is GREENGUARD Gold Certified - and made with natural and organic materials, including 100% GOLS organic certified latex from tree-tapped and sustainable sources and GOTS organic certified cotton. Our non-toxic vegan bed combines the finest natural cushioning with an internal, zoned, pressure-point support system for proper back support and extended durability. No wool is used anywhere in the mattress. The Avocado Vegan Mattress features an 8-inch support unit comprised of 756 - 1,414 individually-tuned support coils to ensure proper spinal alignment and balance. These fabric-encased innersprings (made from recycled steel) are arranged in 5 distinct zones with a reinforced perimeter to float independently and reduce motion transfer. This premium, highly durable system allows for optimal and individualized ergonomic and joint support, while at the same time, better contouring to your body shape and evenly distributing weight. Better still, the reinforced perimeter provides critical edge support to eliminate the "roll-off" feeling near the edge.	The Nectar Lush features an innovative memory foam with a higher density than what is found in traditional foam products. The increased density helps provide superior pressure relief for a plush, floaty rest. The top memory foam layer helps provide cushioning for the body at its most sensitive areas, like the pressure points. This is often described as the much-loved, traditional "memory foam" feel: softness, cushion, pressure relief, comfort, etc. The second memory foam layer, or the transition layer, is intended to help provide resistance against the body as you lay down on top of the mattress. If you were to jump onto your mattress, this layer prevents you from feeling the base support layer of foam. The base support layer is intended to provide solid support for the layers above it. It helps give structure and stability for all of the other components to perform as desired.
