Casper OriginalvsCasper Original Hybrid

Yes, the new Casper Original has undergone changes from its previous version. It is now a medium firmness mattress. The older version was slightly firmer and had two comfort layers, a zoned transition layer, and a bottom support layer. The new version has removed the second comfort layer and replaced the zoned transition foam with zoned memory foam.

Casper mattresses are designed to be slept on immediately after they have fully expanded. Unlike some mattresses that may soften over time, it's typically your body that adjusts to the mattress.

While the lifespan of a mattress can typically range from 7 to 10 years, Casper asserts that their foam mattresses can endure up to 12 years. This duration extends well beyond the 100-day return policy, ensuring that you receive a good return on your investment.

Both the Casper Original and the Original Hybrid have a medium feel, rating around 5 on the 10-point firmness scale. These models are slightly thicker than the average mattress, standing at 11 inches.

The Casper Select mattress is designed to be a similar version of the popular Casper Original, but it is exclusively sold through Costco, meaning it can only be purchased with a Costco membership. The all-foam Casper Select is engineered to provide both support and pressure relief to sleepers.

The Casper Original Hybrid mattress features at least 600 coils (in a queen size, as per the company's representative). It offers a feel that is somewhere between medium and medium-firm, with a cradling effect that is slightly more pronounced than the all-foam option but less fluffy than the Nova Hybrid.
