How do I decide on my ideal firmness level for my mattress?

The ideal firmness level for your mattress depends on your preferred sleep position, sleep needs, and personal preferences. You can find information on firmness levels on our mattress product pages. Are your products certified safe and healthy?

Yes, our foam is CertiPUR-US Certified, which means it is made without mercury, lead, or other heavy metals. It also has low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions—less than 0.5 parts per million. Our foam is made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP, or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants.

Will your products have that “factory” smell?

Most of our customers report not detecting any unusual odors after unpacking our mattresses. However, if you do notice a natural scent after unwrapping the mattress, this slight odor should dissipate within 24 hours in a well-ventilated space.

Do we carry any blended or man-made latex?

No, all of the latex we carry is made from 100% natural rubber from a rubber tree. The final product is 98% pure rubber, with the remaining 2% consisting of natural fatty acids, natural soaps, and natural reinforcing agents needed for manufacturing.

Can I wash the cover?

The cover is removable but not washable. It is recommended to spot-clean the cover with a mild detergent and a brush, then place the cover in the sun for disinfection. The cover cannot be machine washed, dry-cleaned, or hand-cleaned in the bathtub as it will shrink.

What type of fire barrier is in the mattress?

No chemical flame retardants are added or used in the mattress. The cotton and wool cover contains 1" of wool that acts as the natural fire barrier. This wool is also excellent at temperature regulation and wicking away moisture.
