Comfort	Our special latex-foam hybrid alternative, designed to react and contour to your body.	Our materials come from nature - whether it be wool sustainably sheared from New Zealand sheep or latex tapped from trees. These premium materials are comfortable on your body and conscience. 100% all natural & organic Birch Wool provides unparalleled comfort and temperature regulation. Birch Wool is designed to retain shape with a natural elasticity of each fiber. Talalay latex is up to 7 times more breathable than other types of latex. Natural latex is also hypoallergenic and anti-microbial.
Support	Specially designed using proprietary Helix Dynamic Foam to react to your body shape and aid recovery. Density of the top and middle layers optimized to give you extra support based on your body type. High-Grade Polyfoam	We spent countless hours finding the right density of latex, quantity of wool, and type of steel springs to provide unprecedented comfort and pressure relief. Each mattress features a reinforced perimeter for best in class edge support. The coils that run along the outside of your mattress are actually firmer, so no more feeling of falling off the bed when lying down or sitting on the edge. Natural Talalay latex provides response to cushion your pressure points while giving support. Our latex is carefully managed to ensure consistency. Hundreds of individual steel coils help to cradle your body and provide support, while also limiting motion transfer. Additionally, the reinforced perimeter coils provide best in class edge support.

FAQs

Helix Dusk

Do your mattresses offer different levels of support?

Any strong and solid base is suitable, including adjustable bases. Avoid slatted foundations with gaps of more than 3" and box springs with actual springs. While a slatted base can improve breathability, it's not required as the latex foam in the mattress is naturally breathable. A slatted base can help prevent mold on the mattress cover in high-humidity environments.

What is the lifespan of the Helix Dusk mattress?

The Helix Dusk mattress is designed to last between seven to ten years, with a warranty protecting against premature sagging and manufacturing defects for ten years after purchase. The Helix Dusk Luxe variant offers an extended warranty of 15 years.

Is the Helix Dusk a soft mattress?

The Helix Dusk is not considered distinctly soft. It is a medium-firm mattress with two foam layers providing cushioning, but overall, it has a balanced feel rather than a plush one.

Birch by Helix

Is birch mattress good for couples?

Yes, Birch mattresses are ideal for couples as they have excellent cooling properties. The natural wool and latex layers allow for breathability and prevent the mattress from retaining body heat, making it a good choice for couples who tend to overheat.

Does the birch mattress smell?

The Birch Natural mattress does have a strong initial smell which may deter some customers. However, it offers pressure relief, motion isolation, and heat diffusion.

What materials are used in a Birch mattress?

Birch mattresses are made with natural materials including wool, latex, cotton, and steel. More details can be found on the Birch materials page.
