Helix DuskvsEcoSleep Hybrid by Brooklyn Bedding

Any strong and solid base is suitable, including adjustable bases. Avoid slatted foundations with gaps of more than 3" and box springs with actual springs. While a slatted base can improve breathability, it's not required as the latex foam in the mattress is naturally breathable. A slatted base can help prevent mold on the mattress cover in high-humidity environments.

The Helix Dusk mattress is designed to last between seven to ten years, with a warranty protecting against premature sagging and manufacturing defects for ten years after purchase. The Helix Dusk Luxe variant offers an extended warranty of 15 years.

The Helix Dusk is not considered distinctly soft. It is a medium-firm mattress with two foam layers providing cushioning, but overall, it has a balanced feel rather than a plush one.

The ideal firmness level for your mattress depends on your preferred sleep position, sleep needs, and personal preferences. You can find information on firmness levels on our mattress product pages. Alternatively, you can consult with one of our Sleep Specialists, who can provide a recommendation based on your preferences.

Yes, our foam is CertiPUR-US Certified, which means it is made without mercury, lead, or other heavy metals. It also has low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions—less than 0.5 parts per million. Our foam is made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP, or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants.

Most of our customers report not detecting any unusual odors after unpacking our mattresses. However, if you do notice a natural scent after unwrapping the mattress, this slight odor should dissipate within 24 hours in a well-ventilated space.
