Emma Zero GravityvsNoa Luxe

The Emma Zero Gravity mattress stands out due to its innovative design that maximizes comfort, breathability, and support. Its unique AirGrid layer, a hyper-elastic material with large air channels, adapts instantly to movement and cradles pressure points, ensuring you experience a feeling akin to sleeping on clouds. Coupled with a novel system that combines foam, pocket springs, and AirGrid, the mattress provides optimal pressure relief in all sleep positions. Moreover, the advanced motion-isolating technology in the Emma Zero Gravity mattress minimizes disturbance from partner movements, promoting uninterrupted sleep. These distinctive features make the Emma Zero Gravity a standout choice, offering a sleep experience that feels almost weightless.

Like many new mattresses, an Emma mattress may initially exhibit a slight smell, often referred to as "off-gassing." This common occurrence is due to the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) produced during the manufacturing process of synthetic foams. While typically harmless, the smell can be unpleasant to some. However, it should dissipate within a few hours to a few days if the mattress is left to air out in a well-ventilated room. It's important to note that as of my last update in September 2021, Emma mattresses are CertiPUR-US certified, indicating they are made without harmful chemicals and have low VOC emissions. For any concerns regarding smell, reaching out to Emma's customer service department is advised.

The Emma Zero Gravity Hybrid Mattress incorporates specific features designed to prevent overheating and promote a cool sleep environment. Its Zero Gravity Technology ensures maximum airflow and thermoregulation through air holes present in the AirGrid layer, facilitating a cool sleep surface that allows you to drift off faster. Additionally, the AeroFlex® Pocket Springs, each individually encased, adapt dynamically to body movement and offer superior breathability compared to standard foam mattresses. The mattress also features the Emma UltraDry™ Breathable Cover, which is not only super soft to touch but also removable and easy to wash. This ensemble of features works cohesively to maintain a cool sleeping environment and prolong the lifespan of the mattress.

The Noa Luxe mattress is 31 cm (or about 12.2 inches) thick. This thickness is quite generous and includes multiple layers of various materials designed for comfort and support, such as high-density memory foam, pocket springs, and natural latex. Please note that this height can add a substantial amount of bulk to your bed frame, so ensure your bedding and sheets are deep enough to fit.

Yes, you can use an electric blanket on a Noa mattress, but it's recommended to use one with a shutoff mechanism. This automatic feature can help prevent the blanket from overheating or potentially causing a fire, thereby ensuring your safety while using it. Despite this, always make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for both the electric blanket and the mattress to ensure proper care and maintain their longevity.

Cleaning the Noa mattress cover requires a spot cleaning approach as the cover is non-removable. In case of spills or stains, immediately absorb as much of the substance as possible using a clean cloth or sponge. Follow up by gently dabbing the area with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. After the stain is removed, rinse the area with another clean, damp cloth to get rid of soap residue. Ensure the cleaned area dries fully before covering with sheets or mattress protectors. A mattress protector is recommended for ongoing use as it can be easily removed and washed, helping to keep your mattress clean and prolong its lifespan.
