Cover
The top cover consists of special climate fiber that regulates humidity. At the same time, it is so elastic that it fits the core of your mattress, perfectly. This removable and washable cover is made of 100% polyester. The grey side cover supports air circulation and has non-slip elements that prevent the mattress from slipping off the bed base. Handles allow for easy manoeuvring.
A hypoallergenic cover that offers a luxuriously soft surface to lie on. This moisture-wicking white top panel of the mattress is made of 98% polyester and 2% elastane and is removable and washable at 40°C. The cover is hand-sewn in the UK.
Comfort
The Emma Original uses foams that are unlike traditional memory foams. These high-quality layers are breathable and open pored, so air can pass freely through the mattress and you stay comfortably cool. The excellent motion isolating properties also mean you'll never be disturbed by a lively partner. The innovative Airgocell® layer boasts a gel-like structure that optimally relieves the individual body parts and guarantees a cooling effect while you sleep thanks to its breathability. This temperature-regulating and open-pored foam will keep you cool all night long.
The foams used have tiny bubble-like cells that help keep the mattress cool. The Hybrid mattress options provide more movement isolation than traditional memory foam mattresses. Therefore, you shouldn't feel your partner move during the night. The evecomfort® foam is 30 times more breathable than other memory foam. This breathability regulates temperature, and ensures that you sleep comfortably. Full sized springs ensure a cool circulation of air.
Support
The Emma Original mattress uses advanced zoning and adaptable foams that gently cradle your body, keeping your spine aligned and your shoulders and hips well supported. The high-quality foams distribute pressure evenly across the entire mattress to relieve all pressure and help make aches and pains a thing of the past. The transition, or second layer, uses visco-elastic memory foam that contours to your body and distributes pressure evenly across the mattress. A generous base layer of HRX foam provides the necessary counter pressure to keep your spine aligned and to support your back. It's also exceptionally point elastic, so you won't feel your partner moving on the mattress.
Side sleepers benefit from a touch of softness to cushion shoulders and hips. The foam in the original hybrid mattress is great for this, because it gently contours to your body. The added zoning also helps with pressure relief. Like front sleepers, back sleepers need support for their lower back. The medium-firm feel of the original hybrid mattress helps with alignment, whilst our evecomfort® foam stops your hips sinking in too far. We even tested the zoning and it came up trumps for back sleepers. A top layer of next-generation memory foam: engineered to give total body support so you don't get that "stuck" feeling often associated with traditional memory foam. This springier foam helps to keep your spine aligned. The memory layer provides a snug softness and keeps the pressure off. Over 800 12cm full sized zoned springs are used to give all sleepers the support they need for a comfortable snooze. Some of the full sized springs are thicker than others, creating 5 zones, to relieve the pressure from your shoulders and hips.A foam casing (a layer above and below the springs) help protect the springs. It also gives the mattress extra support, so you don't "roll off" the mattress when lying on the edge.
