Cover	The Select Sleep Organic has an organic cotton cover to provide a soft, breathable surface for your comfort. Cotton also provides just enough stretch so that your mattress is easy to assemble and that the cover stays taught. Polyester is never used in our covers. Each hand-sewn cover is made of 100% organic cotton that has been quilted to Eco Wool. The 360° zipper makes assembly a breeze and allows you to replace and rearrange layers as needed, as well as remove completely for spot cleaning and airing out. Replacement covers are available. Do we carry any blended or man-made latex?

No, all of the latex we carry is made from 100% natural rubber from a rubber tree. The final product is 98% pure rubber, with the remaining 2% consisting of natural fatty acids, natural soaps, and natural reinforcing agents needed for manufacturing.

Can I wash the cover?

The cover is removable but not washable. It is recommended to spot-clean the cover with a mild detergent and a brush, then place the cover in the sun for disinfection. The cover cannot be machine washed, dry-cleaned, or hand-cleaned in the bathtub as it will shrink.

What type of fire barrier is in the mattress?

No chemical flame retardants are added or used in the mattress. The cotton and wool cover contains 1" of wool that acts as the natural fire barrier. This wool is also excellent at temperature regulation and wicking away moisture.
