The Star Hybrid mattress is versatile and suits a wide range of sleepers. Whether you sleep on your back or switch positions, this mattress offers a balance of softness and support. It features a foam-quilted cover and additional foam layers infused with gel and copper, along with a robust coil system at the base. It's particularly recommended for side sleepers, combination sleepers, and couples of various sizes and sleep positions.

The Star Hybrid is rated as a medium-firm mattress, with a firm core support and a plush, hand-tufted top that provides a floating-on-a-cloud feeling. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being most firm, the Bear Hybrid is categorized as a 6.8.

The Star Hybrid is made in the USA using both foreign and domestic components. It is built with CertiPur-US Certified foams and is GREENGUARD Gold Certified to ensure high-quality materials and healthy indoor air quality.

You can use any strong and solid base, including adjustable bases. However, you should avoid slatted foundations with gaps of more than 3" and box springs with actual springs. The mattress is made of latex foam, a naturally breathable, open-celled material, so it doesn't require a slatted foundation for cooling. However, a slatted base can improve breathability and reduce the chances of mold on the mattress cover in high-humidity environments.

Organic Dunlop latex and 100% natural Dunlop latex are not significantly different. The organic certification for latex indicates that the production process uses less water and power, has a smaller carbon footprint, and has a lower environmental impact. This certification ensures that the latex is better for the environment and the workers, but the final product is the same whether the latex is 100% natural or organic. This is why there is no organic Talalay available, as the Talalay process is more complex, uses more water and electricity, and cannot meet the organic latex certification's reduced water and electricity usage requirements.

All of the latex sold by us is made from 100% natural rubber harvested from a rubber tree. The final product is 98% pure rubber, with the remaining 2% consisting of natural fatty acids, natural soaps, and natural reinforcing agents needed for manufacturing.
