The choice of mattress firmness is subjective and depends on your personal preferences and problem areas. Stomach sleepers generally benefit from a firmer mattress, while back sleepers find comfort in a firm to medium feel. Side sleepers often prefer a medium or plush mattress with extra pressure relief. These guidelines can assist in narrowing down options, but personalized recommendations based on individual needs can be obtained from the Customer Support team.

You can use any strong and solid base, including adjustable bases. However, you should avoid slatted foundations with gaps of more than 3" and box springs with actual springs. The mattress is made of latex foam, a naturally breathable, open-celled material, so it doesn't require a slatted foundation for cooling. However, a slatted base can improve breathability and reduce the chances of mold on the mattress cover in high-humidity environments.

Organic Dunlop latex and 100% natural Dunlop latex are not significantly different. The organic certification for latex indicates that the production process uses less water and power, has a smaller carbon footprint, and has a lower environmental impact. This certification ensures that the latex is better for the environment and the workers, but the final product is the same whether the latex is 100% natural or organic. This is why there is no organic Talalay available, as the Talalay process is more complex, uses more water and electricity, and cannot meet the organic latex certification's reduced water and electricity usage requirements.

All of the latex sold by us is made from 100% natural rubber harvested from a rubber tree. The final product is 98% pure rubber, with the remaining 2% consisting of natural fatty acids, natural soaps, and natural reinforcing agents needed for manufacturing.
