Cover	The Select Sleep Natural has a cotton cover to provide a soft, breathable surface for your comfort. Cotton also provides just enough stretch so that your mattress is easy to assemble and that the cover stays taught. Polyester is never used in our covers. With this mattress, what kind of base may I use?

You can use any strong and solid base, including adjustable bases. However, you should avoid slatted foundations with gaps of more than 3" and box springs with actual springs. The mattress is made of latex foam, a naturally breathable, open-celled material, so it doesn't require a slatted foundation for cooling. However, a slatted base can improve breathability and reduce the chances of mold on the mattress cover in high-humidity environments.

How does organic Dunlop differ from natural Dunlop?

Organic Dunlop latex and 100% natural Dunlop latex are not significantly different. The organic certification for latex indicates that the production process uses less water and power, has a smaller carbon footprint, and has a lower environmental impact. This certification ensures that the latex is better for the environment and the workers, but the final product is the same whether the latex is 100% natural or organic. This is why there is no organic Talalay available, as the Talalay process is more complex, uses more water and electricity, and cannot meet the organic latex certification's reduced water and electricity usage requirements.

Is the latex blended or does it contain any man-made rubber?

All of the latex sold by us is made from 100% natural rubber harvested from a rubber tree. The final product is 98% pure rubber, with the remaining 2% consisting of natural fatty acids, natural soaps, and natural reinforcing agents needed for manufacturing.
