For a luxurious and premium finish, we use a breathable organic cotton / poly-blend 4-way stretch-knit (rather than a traditional weave) in a soft, natural color, and GOTS-certified by our supplier. Sourced from the United States, this durable textile is button-tufted by hand with wool yarn rosettes, which secure the cotton ticking and internal mattress layers firmly in place without the use of chemical adhesives. We also use hand-stitched tape edges (double stitched) and heavy-duty upholstered handles to complete the package.
The Select Sleep Organic has an organic cotton cover to provide a soft, breathable surface for your comfort. Cotton also provides just enough stretch so that your mattress is easy to assemble and that the cover stays taught. Polyester is never used in our covers. Each hand-sewn cover is made of 100% organic cotton that has been quilted to Eco Wool. The 360° zipper makes assembly a breeze and allows you to replace and rearrange layers as needed, as well as remove completely for spot cleaning and airing out. Replacement covers are available.

Rather than using wool, our Vegan Mattress uses 400 grams per square foot of 100% GOTS organic certified certified cotton batting. Avocado mattresses feature 100% GOLS organic certified latex rubber foam, made from sustainably harvested sources. It's an eco-conscious, high-performance material, offering resilience, durability, and temperature control that far exceeds synthetic, blended or petroleum-based polyurethane foams
The wool in our organic cotton cover is premium Eco Wool, sourced from the Woolgatherer Carding Mill. Woolgatherer follows wool through every stage from the pastures to the finished product. Woolgatherer staff is meticulous about ensuring their wool supplier flocks are managed in a humane, chemical-free, and environmentally safe manner. Latex is naturally hypo-allergenic. Its anti-microbial properties inhibit dust mites, mold, and mildew from thriving. Because latex is a product of pin core construction with thousands of tiny air channels that provide natural ventilation. Mildew, staphylococcus and other bacteria can't live in latex foam, making it the perfect choice for allergy sufferers and anyone wanting to breathe, fresh clean air while they sleep. It keeps you warm in the winter and cooler in the Labor Day.

Our non-toxic vegan bed combines the finest natural cushioning with an internal, zoned, pressure-point support system for proper back support and extended durability. No wool is used anywhere in the mattress. The Avocado Vegan Mattress features an 8-inch support unit comprised of 756 - 1,414 individually-tuned support coils to ensure proper spinal alignment and balance. These fabric-encased innersprings (made from recycled steel) are arranged in 5 distinct zones with a reinforced perimeter to float independently and reduce motion transfer. This premium, highly durable system allows for optimal and individualized ergonomic and joint support, while at the same time, better contouring to your body shape and evenly distributing weight. Better still, the reinforced perimeter provides critical edge support to eliminate the "roll-off" feeling near the edge.
Our Select Sleep latex mattress conforms perfectly to your body's contours and evenly supports the spine to provide optimal orthopedic support. We offer a variety of latex types including the world's finest latex process - Talalay. Latex instantly reacts and adjusts to changes in position giving the body maximum comfort and back support. Its unique ability to conform to your body alleviates areas of high pressure that causes you to toss and turn at night.
